Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Who We Are

DollarEdge Consultancy Ltd ("DollarEdge", "we", "us") is a company registered in Kenya under the Companies Act 2015, operating from Nairobi Garage, Ngong Road, Nairobi. This policy explains what personal data we collect through dollarsedge.com and our related services (AI training programmes, course enrolment, appointments, the community forum, newsletter and downloads centre), why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect what a given form or feature needs to function:

  • Contact & quote requests β€” name, email, phone, organisation, service of interest, and your message.
  • Training & course enrolment β€” name, email, WhatsApp/phone number, occupation, organisation, county/country, and M-PESA payment reference for confirmed registrations.
  • Appointments β€” name, email, phone, consultation type and preferred date/time.
  • Newsletter β€” email address and, optionally, name.
  • Community forum & comments β€” display name, email (not shown publicly) and the content you post.
  • Job applications β€” name, email, phone, CV/rΓ©sumΓ©, cover letter and any portfolio/LinkedIn links you provide.
  • Restricted document requests β€” name, email, phone, company and reason for request.
  • Site analytics β€” page URLs visited, referring page, device type and an anonymous visitor/session identifier (see our Cookie Policy). This is self-hosted β€” we do not sell or share it with data brokers.

3. How We Use Your Information

To deliver the service you requested (processing an enrolment, responding to an enquiry, confirming an appointment), to send transactional confirmations and reminders by email and SMS, to maintain the security of our platform, and β€” only where you've opted in β€” to send newsletter updates. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Payments

Course and training fees are processed via Safaricom's M-PESA (Daraja API). We receive and store your phone number, the amount paid, and the M-PESA transaction/receipt code needed to confirm payment. We never receive or store your M-PESA PIN β€” that is entered directly with Safaricom on your device.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We share the minimum data necessary with the following processors, solely to operate the features above:

  • Safaricom M-PESA β€” payment processing.
  • Africa's Talking β€” SMS delivery for confirmations and reminders.
  • Tawk.to β€” our live chat widget, when you choose to use it.
  • Google β€” web fonts and, where enabled, analytics.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected β€” generally the lifetime of your relationship with us plus the period required by Kenyan tax and company law (typically 7 years for financial records). Forum posts and comments remain visible until you request removal or moderation removes them.

7. Data Security

Passwords and session tokens are stored as one-way hashes, never in plain text; sensitive integration credentials (payment and messaging API keys) are encrypted at rest; and the site is served over HTTPS. Access to the admin panel is restricted to authorised DollarEdge staff.

8. Your Rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from our newsletter) at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) or your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

9. International Transfers

Where we work with partners or infrastructure outside Kenya, we take reasonable steps to ensure equivalent protection is applied to your data, consistent with the frameworks listed in our Compliance Overview above.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verified parental/guardian consent.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing dollarsedge.com or enrolling in any DollarEdge programme, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy above.

2. Our Services

DollarEdge provides IT & digital transformation, AI/ML, cybersecurity, business advisory, digital marketing, training & capacity building, and green energy consulting β€” delivered through this website, live-online courses, webinars, bootcamps and one-to-one appointments.

3. Registration Accuracy

When registering for training, courses, webinars or appointments, you agree to provide accurate, current information. Confirmation of paid enrolments is issued once M-PESA payment is verified.

4. Payments & Refunds

Fees for courses and training are quoted in Kenya Shillings (KES) and are due at the time of enrolment via M-PESA. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to info@dollarsedge.com before course content has been substantially accessed.

5. Community Forum Conduct

Our community forum is moderated. Posts must not contain unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing content. We reserve the right to hide, remove or restrict any post or account that breaches this standard.

6. Intellectual Property

All course materials, curricula, branding and site content are the property of DollarEdge Consultancy Ltd unless otherwise stated. Enrolment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access course content for your own learning β€” not to redistribute or resell it.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or live-online sessions, and we are not liable for outages caused by third-party providers (payment gateways, SMS gateway, internet connectivity).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, DollarEdge's liability arising from use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Commercial/partnership disputes are resolved via ICC arbitration as set out in our Partnership Engagement Policy above; consumer disputes may also be brought before the competent courts of Kenya.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time; continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
